We have been very busy this Christmas season and are pleased to once again provide our DJ only services to Freelove Entertainments during another busy corporate Christmas season contract with Best Parties Ever.
Both myself and Paul will have entertained a total of over 20,000 party-goers enjoying their Christmas parties in style at the Harlow and Billericay sites.

Fireworks Display & Bonfire in aid of 3rd Thorpe Scout Group

We are pleased to be helping out our local Scout group with our event management, external lighting hire and crew services for the 3rd Thorpe Scout Groups annual Fireworks display & bonfire on Saturday 7th November at Thorpe Hall, Thorpe Le Soken, Essex.

Gates open at 6.00pm, with lighting of the bonfire soon after, followed by an amazing fireworks spectacular !!

Admission price is £3.00 per adult and £2.00 per child
There's plenty to do this year, with the addition of a tombola and raffle. The popular hot food tent is back, with mouth watering burgers and hotdogs.
Plus a DJ, playing the classic fireworks tunes, hot drinks and soup for sale, and the glow tent is a must!

We look forward to seeing you all there, tell your friends and families!

ALL profit proceeds raised go towards the group funds

Colchester Wedding Fair...Come see us...

Sunday 4th October 2009 at Charter Hall in Colchester is the Colchester Gazette Wedding Fair. You can find us on stand number 7 exhibiting our wedding DJ & Disco services.

The fair is open between 10.00am and 4.00pm and is packed with over 50 exhibiter and 4 fashion shows. We look forward to chatting with you.

18th Birthday Celebration in Brentwood...

Saturday 5th September was a very busy weekend for us all at Dreamwave Events. Paul & Martin were both providing our Evening DJ & Disco Services at a wedding celebration and at 40th wedding anniversary. I also providing the same service but with a twist for an 18th birthday event in Brentwood, Essex. Our Clients had a private marquee in their grounds provided by our good friends Chelmer Marquees. The marquee had a ‘glitz and glamour’ feel to it, with a blackout lining and deep rich coloured draping. You will see from the pictures below our sound & lighting equipment was set up in a club style for maximum impact and wow factor. The use of a green laser and smoke machine also added to this effect.
The Birthday girl Viki had a unique fancy dress theme for her party... ‘the first letter of your name!?!’ All the guest dressed up and everybody enjoyed the party and mix of music played by myself. In Viki’s words posted to us on Facebook after the event...... ‘Thank you for Saturday it was awesome :D xx’

Hengrave Hall....A Moment in History

On Saturday 15th August, Hengrave Hall played host to its first wedding since being taken over by its new owners and what a wedding it was! The service in the Church on the grounds was the first Catholic service since the reformation 450 years ago!

As exclusive suppliers to Hengrave, we provided our Complete DJ and Disco service to the new Mr and Mrs Keane in the majestic Banqueting Hall along with background music and wireless microphones for speeches in the Long Gallery during the wedding breakfast.

As you can see from the pictures below all the guests had a fantastic time at the evening reception, dancing on the shiny new dancefloor all night! You will also see how our stylish, contemporary lighting complements the features of the Banqueting Hall.

Once again it was a pleasure to work along side our friends from Talbooth Outside catering who are also exclusive suppliers to Hengrave.

We look forward to many more great nights at Hengrave Hall...........

Awards Night 21st Birthdays, Private Marquee...

Summer 2009 is proving to be very busy for us, i must stop and take a breather to telling you all about a fantastic 21st birthday where we provided a lot more that our DJ services....

You will see from the pictures below our clients had arranged a 21st birthday celebration with an awards theme. This took place in a private marquee provided by Exclusive Marquees.
As well providing our Ultimate DJ & Disco Service our DJ Martin Cooper also took audio and visual control of the awards presentation, where we had proving and projection screen, projector, spot light and awards lectern.

Our stylish and unique sound and lighting equipment really did fit to setting well. The party was still in full swing when myself and Paul arrived (after also DJing that night at separate weddings our self’s). The whole evening was a great success and our clients we very pleased with our professional service and high stands provided.
It was also a great pleasure to work alongside our good friends Craig and Kate Williams Photography at this event.

Fun packed wedding at Layer Marney Tower...

Thursday 23rd July was the wedding of the new Mr & Mrs Indge. We provided our complete wedding DJ & disco service at the amazing Layer Marney Tower, Colchester.
Our clients had plenty of entertainment in store for the guests, including a cartoon artist throughout their wedding breakfast, a inflatable rodeo bull in the court yard, fireworks, a band and of course me! ;-)
You will see from the pictures below the first dance was well rehearsed by the bride and groom. I was sworn not to tell soul about the secret twist half way through. I have also posted a link below to a video a guest has posted on YouTube for you to see for yourselves...
The evening party worked well with us performing alongside the band and all the guests enjoyed the mix of music played.

I would like to wish the new Mr & Mrs Indge all the best for the future as husband and wife.

What a busy week...

All of us here at Dreamwave have been very busy boys this week. We have provided our DJ & Disco services to 7!!!! Wedding couples.
Our week took us national with weddings in the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire as well as Essex & Suffolk.

Smeetham Hall Barn...

Saturday 11th July was our first visit to Smeetham Hall Barn, Sudbury. We provided our complete wedding DJ & disco service for the new Mr & Mrs Foot.

This amaizng and stunning 16th century barn is owned by the Hyde Parker's. Bridget and her team run a very professional and friendly wedding venue in an idyllic setting.

Our clients also booked our optional up-lighters to enhance their wedding colours and ‘pink’ theme. Throughout the wedding breakfast the top table was back-lit with four LED up-lighters, these were then moved to the dance floor area, to complement the ‘disco lighting’ ready for the evening party.
A great evening was had by all, many comments were made from guests on how good the music selection was and the ‘mixing skills’ of the DJ.

I would like to wish the new Mr & Mrs Foot all the best for the future as husband and wife.

Congratulations to our own Dave & Hayley...

I am sure this Blog has been eagerly awaited. I would like to personally send our congratulations to our very own Dave & Hayley (the new Mr & Mrs Drane!) They were married on 23rd May 2009 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church in Clacton on Sea, followed by the wedding breakfast and evening reception at Le Talbooth in Dedham.
The whole day was magnificent and could not have run smoother. Dave & Hayley had spent many, many months planning every last detail (and it showed!).

They both would like to extend their thanks out to the selected suppliers within the wedding industry who made their day even more special.

Mark, Paul & Martin, your efforts very early on the day left both myself and Hayley speechless when we walked into the marquee for the entrance! We both were so over whelmed. The Guys had flown not 1, not 2, but 4! 50cm mirror balls in the roof along with 2 moving heads. more effect lighting, LED up-lighters and a black & white dancefloor, really did exceed expectations.
Thank you also to Martin for a grand job of DJing the first part of the evening, and thanks to Paul for DJing the seconds set."

A fantastic evening's food and dancing was enjoyed by all. Our stylish and contemporary sound and lighting equipment is always much admired by clients and those from the Milsolms Group.

English country wedding with Italian twist

On Saturday 18th April we were proud to provided our complete wedding DJ & disco service in a private marquee in Coggeshall. Our clients, the new Mr & Mrs Mozzicarelli requested a selection of modern Italian music as well as classic swing to be played throughout their drinks reception. The complete day and evening party music was highly prised by our clients and all the guest attending this special day. To quote from the testimonial received ‘Judging by how full the dance-floor was, we were not the only ones who the loved the music. It was fantastic! You got the party going with a bang and kept the atmosphere up all night’.

The stunning marquee was provided by Chelmer Marquees.

Private Party: The Angel Inn, Ipswich.

On Saturday 4th April we provided our DJ & disco services at The Angel Inn, Ipswich. The occasion was a surprise 30th birthday. This relatively small setup complemented the small venue perfectly leaving loads of room for the guests to dance the night away! They were even dancing on the tables at the end of the night!. The party was a roaring success and all the guests had a great time.

Partnership Now Live....

Dreamwave Events has recently evolved from the combination of two separate companies.
Dave Drane of Dreamer Events and Paul Pollard of Making Waves Professional DJ & Disco Services became a partnership on April 17th 2009.

Colchester Garrison Officers Club 'Pink' Wedding Disco

On Saturday 14th March we provided our complete wedding DJ & disco service at the Colchester Garrison Officers Club.
Our clients, the new Mr & Mrs Evans also booked our optional up-lighters to enhance their wedding colours and ‘pink’ theme, they were both amazed at the effect the up-lighting gave.
The bride and grooms first dance was also enhanced by the use of our low fog & bubble machines and the brides request for the ‘disco lighting’ to only be set to 3 colours (pink, purple & blue) was also fulfilled.

All attending this special day said they enjoyed the DJ & disco entertainment. I would like to wish the new Mr & Mrs Evans all the best for the future as husband and wife.

The event was a surprise 25th birthday for the party for the Sage family.
